When choosing the perfect engagement photo location, it can be overwhelming because you want to choose an ideal place that photographs well and that will reflect you and your partner.  Read on for some helpful suggestions to help you narrow down your ideal location.

PARKS
With beautiful greenery and flowers, parks are a top choice of locations to get photos taken.  With so many gorgeous parks and parking trails in the Columbus area, you will not have any problems finding a beautiful setting for your special photos.  You can view a list of Columbus area parks HERE
Will you be including your fur babies in your engagement photos?  If so, make sure you choose a park that allows dogs.  Here is a list of Dog friendly parks https://www.columbus.gov/recreationandparks/dog-parks/All-Dog-Parks/
FIRST DATE or a MEANINGFUL LOCATION
Perhaps a favorite coffee shop or location of your first meeting?   Where did the proposal take place?  Is there a place you and your partner visit on a frequent basis?
DOWNTOWN
There is nothing more personal to a  native than your beautiful downtown area.  There are several spots with the perfect backdrop of the amazing downtown city skyline as well as lots of wonderful urban/downtown sites just by strolling through the different districts in your hometown.
SPORTING
Are you a huge Football, baseball or hockey fan?   Photos outside (and sometimes even inside) the stadiums can be very fun and unique and is a good way to incorporate your shared love for sports.
HOME
It IS where the heart is, right?  What’s more special than the place the new couple will call home and spend a majority of their time together?   This is a great opportunity for your photographer to capture the engaged couple as well as the special home they have built together as a couple.

YOUR WEDDING VENUE
This is a great way to get a sneak peek of the place where the happy couple will tie the knot.  Make sure to check with your venue staff first to plan on a date and time that the venue is open and not occupied.
PHOTOGRAPHERS CHOICE
If you are out of ideas, ask your photographer.  Most wedding photographers have wonderful experience with engagement photos as well as the best spots to get your photos done.
REMEMBER
Check with any public places like museums, zoo, restaurants, etc to ensure photography is allowed.  Remember, any public area is going to have visitors to contend with and privacy is going to be limited.   And finally, make sure you check ahead for weather and run your choices by your photographer in advance.
